August 9th
Gargoyles
What happens when you mix Gargoyles and new world of darkness? Ya, that feeling of unease yet interest, it powers me.
August 16th
God Machine
I am not saying the God Machine is evil, it just doesn’t care.
August 23rd and 30th
Unhallowed Metropolis
The Victorian A-team begins their world tour.

I have to admit . . . I did not see the August 9th one coming.
With all the Gargoyles references David and I make, is it really that much of a surprise?
…Or do we manage to only make those when the mic is off and the booze hits?
I approve of this schedule line up! Can not wait, want moarrr.
I just finished re-watching Gargoyles. Needless to say I’m pumped for august.
Well I’ve commented before I’ve always wanted to see you guys play supernatural PCs in nWOD XD
Are you guys homebrewing this yourselves or is this a fan supplement you guys found?
Geez, at this rate you’ll be playing Princess: The Hopeful in no time. ._.
Last Architect; We used a fan supplement for Old World of Darkness for Gargoyles. I’ll leave it up to one of the other guys to supply the link.
Also, have you heard about the Princess Drive supplement for Apotheosis Drive X? Totally could be Princess: The Hopeful. Except in a world of giant mecha battles (I’m reading through the core Apotheosis Drive X book this weekend – look for it on Fandible…sometime :-D)
Curious is that Princess Drive supplement as dark as Princess The Hopeful can get? If a Princess ever loses all hope (Belief their Integrity stat) they essentially become a family relative of the Ink Monster or Swamp Monster ala Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
In fact the only reason I checked out Princess The Hopeful in the first place was for ideas to flesh out a God-Machine Chronicle that your great podcast inspired me to start running. 😛
Side note: Between Gargoyles and a possible Apotheosis Drive X have you guys decided that the moratorium on once offs will just be massively decreasing how often you do them or is Gargoyles just a unique exception?
We’ve found one-offs are good for the inevitable weeks the whole crew can’t make it to the table. Rather than skipping out on playing entirely, we do a one-shot. ADX will probably start as a one-shot, with the potential to be added to our list of ongoing games depending on interest and some behind-the-scenes shuffling (Unless Daniel has some tricks up his sleeve, I think we’re approaching the end of the God Machine chronicle, and there’s talk of another game being dropped, so there’s going to be some openings in our on-going schedule).
As for how dark Princess Drive gets…I don’t know! It hasn’t been finished yet 😛 (Honestly, out of the whole ADX line that’s coming up, it’s Vimankatha that has me most excited. Bollywood mecha!)
Bollywood Mecha?
O_O
Why am I even surprised Vimankatha isn’t the first rpg with this exact premise:

Gargoyles: The Vigil

And yes, if we ever get around to playing VimanKatha, I will Mecha Dance like I have never Mecha Danced before.
In no way related to Hunter: The Vigil. Heh.
I’m calling it now, going by almost all non-NWOD episodes, you guys running a mecha game is going to end up Eureka 7-esque. Bright with humor and a undertone of SERIOUS DRAMA. 😛
“Unless Daniel has some tricks up his sleeve”
Oh, I have tricks. So many tricks. Also, sleeves. More sleeves than your puny mortal minds can even begin to comprehend. Sleeves within sleeves. Sleeves outside of sleeves. Sleeves that _aren’t even sleeves at all_.
Seriously tho, yes, there are two more sessions of the current GMC arc and then that’s done. I’m not sure yet whether after that I’ll try to start a while new GMC track, one that’s more focused for long term play, or try and create something new within the GMC rules, like Billy’s Shambling games, or try and find a whole new game to be the one that I run. We’ll figure that out, tho.
To touch on TheLastArchitect’s point, too, the one shots are often good for trying to figure out what new series we want to turn into more long term games.
Forgive me if I’m wrong, but the current ‘regular’ games are Hollow Earth Expedition, The Shambling, The God-Machine Chronicle, Rogue Trader and Unhallowed Metropolis? Right? I presume the second one ‘maybe’ closing out is Rogue Trader?
Well whatever you decide to run after GMC is finished I’m sure will be great. 🙂
very cool! can’t wait to see Fandible-crew in Mecha’s! and also, would it be too much to ask if the Prussian Kaiser is part Man-eagle?
Calling it now. August 2013, favorite month of Fandible EVER!!!
August schedule is looking exceedingly fun!
Aw, don’t talk about ending Rogue Trader. I started listening to Fandible because if its Rogue Trader podcasts, and I’m only now finished catching up on some of their games. The end of the adventures of Captain McAwesomepants would make me sad.
Alright, alright…
Just so no one thinks we’re ending any particular game, I’ll just throw it out. We’re going to be ending the Shambling.
The reason is just because I’m missing ‘Billyverse’. I’ll go into more details in a blog post but for now, just know it’s the Shambling we’re wrapping up.
Don’t worry, kids, there’s plenty of Captain McAwesomepants left to go!
I’ve run both long term and short term campaigns (my rt campaign has been going for three years!) but one thing I’ve learned is that there is no way to GM well when you want to run something else!
Now me, I just run all the games in parallel! That’s not for everyone however, and sometimes I over stretch and melt my brainmeats!
If you aren’t feeling it, close it down, doesn’t mean you’ll never go back to it!
As much as I’m lovin’ The Shambling, Billyverse rocks my world in a way that little else does. EXPEEEERIENCE!
