Since we’re still a small fish in a big pond, the Fandible crew isn’t terribly heart broken over not getting any ENnie nominations. Voting opened TODAY and we wanted to plug a few entries we have played, or otherwise have ties to.
- Marvel Heroic Roleplaying – nominated for three awards (Best Game, Best Rules and Product of the Year), we found this game to be fascinating, with interesting dice mechanics and a gorgeous book (even if the lack of explicit character-creation rules and a seemingly-combat heavy system held us up a little bit)
- Unhallowed Metropolist Revised – nominated for best setting. This is one of the handful of ongoing campaigns the Fandible crew has committed to, and that’s in large part because of the intricate setting. It’s got a little bit of something for everyone – a variety of social classes for players to dig into, a steampunk aesthetic, a rich historically-informed setting, and zombies. Who doesn’t love zombies, right?
- Gaming as Women – nominated for best blog! This is the other gaming blog that Angela contributes to. Everyone is quite excited over there!
Best of luck to all the nominees! Seeing so many titles on there that we haven’t heard of, let alone had a chance to play, is a testament to just how varied this hobby can be.
