5 Geeks. One Roundish Table. After a few months stewing in its own impotent rage, the GTRT returns with a vengeance. This month, we discuss NPC and PC Romance, how Fandible has affected our gaming habits, and making great antagonists.

Going through school my name was so simple that no one could ever possibly fuck it up. I’m glad you guys have finally given me this experience.
Also fun fact about the Byron/Amelia romance: In the episode where they first meet on the zeppelin, the first thing Billy does is make a joke about how he’s going to marry her.
#teamnerd because it means Christmas shopping is easy because all my friends get new dice
Couple of things:
– As far as Curry everyone needs their diet, Rocky Horror Picture Show. That show always leaves me shaking with antici
– As far as epic Billy/Angela Flirting, little surprised no one mentioned the Villains Run in Warhammer 40k with the Tumor Doc and the Torture Elf.
– Thank you again for sharing your games with us.
Im a guy, the name is Daniel, which is why I never use it on here. Also on a completely unrelated note Dan is my favourite Fandible member 😛
The Tanks were sent because David said your characters could have Tanks in your games if Fandible could have Tanks. I want Fandible to one day show up in Tanks
The romance started out with the Vampire hounding the groups aristocrat, slowly driving him insane. Somehow the vampire and the mourner were in the sewars together, the mourner made a joking flirtatious comment and we went with it
ah yeah hope you like IZ, figured it may be a good alternative to Shadowrun with less math if you guys wanted to try it
*wipes away tears*
The new GTRT was everything I dreamed it would be!
In all seriousness, very happy that y’all have started doing this wonderful series again. It’s awesome to hear your opinions!
#TeamNerd Because nothing makes life better than delving into the realm of ideas!
Also, I know that Daniel will make whatever decision is best for his game, but I do hope that y’all stick with Changeling: the Lost 1st ed. I think it’s a beautiful game, I think the RAW are actually very good, and I think 2nd edition essentially did nothing to improve on any of it, and instead just re-wrote certain aspects of it just because they wanted to make it stand out from the 1st ed.
Whatever you decide, I look forward to hearing more Fandible Podcasts 😀
#teamnerd because I’m old enough to be kind of proud of the things I squee over, now, instead of embarassed.
Also: as a fellow (occasional) stutterer, I feel you. ESPECIALLY about “c’mon, you can do it”. If it makes you feel as good to hear as it does for me, I totally didn’t pick that you suffered from it (and I normally do, pretty much every time)
🙂
Also also: I kiiiiind of agree with Cayce, above. Changeling 1st ed was very nearly a *perfect* game. While I love the new Contracts system (as I have for all 2nd ed games so far), all the changes to themes, Kiths and Seemings, etc. felt pretty unnecessary.
-pation!
So… bit of a necropost, but I wanted to say a few things:
1) Thank you so so so much for the thoughtful answers to my question(s). I love to hear about how people that love the things that I love love those things differently than I do.
2) Admittedly, “fame” was a bit tongue in cheek, but it served its purpose. I needed a way to express the thing that makes your experience in gaming fundamentally different from my own. You all have pulled a bit of the public eye, with all that that entails, while I can count all the people that have seen me RP on my fingers. “Fame” covers that and adds just the right amount of snark that I thought you all would appreciate.
3) #teamnerd because being an astronaut ninja cyborg is awesome and anyone that would judge us for that can fuck off.
