Mwahaha, Jesus will never know it was me that suggested putting coffee as an item in his inventory! Hold on, someone’s knocking at the door. Oh, God, someone’s smashing through! Is that a real battleaxe?! Arghkvgmjlakncvb/x
I just committed murder with a brutal weapon and I cant help but feel I did something wrong… Of course, I forgot to scream I HAVE AN AXE!!!!
Ah well, Mistakes happen. Now where is the shower. Fabians blood has gone everywhere.
The tragic irony: we forgot to mention that Jesus always gets a little axe-murdery when he’s had coffee.
Fantastic episode guys, might have to buy this damn thing. The dreams/flash backs where wonderful! Where those the players or the DM?
Ignore that question, the episode answered it. 😛
I finished this episode a few days ago, but haven’t had a way to put my thoughts into words properly. Even more, I don’t think I can do my feelings Justice.
Tex, I wasn’t sure about you at the beginning of this. Perhaps it was me being used to the standard Fandible crew storytelling style, perhaps it was a little bit of jealousy that you got to play with these guys…. But you, sir, tell a hell of a story, and your attention to detail is awe inspiring. As I let myself get swept away in the story, I could almost feel the bite of the wind, hear the crunch of snow underfoot, smell the spray of blood in the air. I’m impressed.
As to the rest of the crew playing… Wow. You all do such amazing jobs bringing the story to life, making each bit you do your own, making it feel more and more like we’re following the lives of three separate, unique individuals, and not just hearing the same old story about a bard, a fighter, and a ranger. Whether it’s been taking on an opponent you’ve no hope of bearing, sending off the enemy dead in proper fashion, or recounting an epic bear hunt from childhood, you guys astound me.
Thank you, guys.
Hey Rick,
Thanks for the Praise. Although I did Originally kinda go into this game just wanting to play a dwarf WITH AN AXE, your right that TEX’s worldbuilding has elevated this game to the next level. Its the type of thing I would could definitely see him writing up as its own supplement to the hellfrost setting.
Because it is so detailed and lived in, it encourages us to explore our characters and our place in the world. The only complaint is that there isn’t a tribe of sentient axes around that I must fight. Otherwise, its been a great game so far.
Again, thanks for the praise, and trust me when I say the sessions just get better.
