I like this series. However listening to it I cant help but feel that the complications are the weakest part of the game. You get the same ones over and over again and all too often they just don’t seem to work or have a real effect.
If it where me developing the game I would have the players submit new complications at the start of each session.
I think that you should draw up new permanent additions or alterations to your complication deck based on events during the game. That way every gaming group will develop its own unique complication deck, its own cards that will remind the players of awesome sessions every time they get played.
I have to say I’m still not sure about this game. It sounds like a good game but a $20 pdf/$45 core book? If shipping was extra I think I may have left this by the wayside.
@Arvandus: I will never doubt again.
I’m running this tonight as a special episode, with no prep!
Totally putting “slurming oilegeously” into the session!
We did it! I finished editing about a quarter to one in the morning today… But we got a special edition of schlock mercenary out before the end of the kickstarter!
People seriously, if you are on the fence about the game, give the fandible said episodes and ours a listen, then go invest. You will not be disappointed!
Dammit, Mawdrigen! Post a link in the comments! We demand it!
Done!

I hope you are happy Fandible: not only did this and the previous episode make me go on an archive binge of 15 years of daily comic strips, you also made me spend the last of my money on a Kickstarter project. Again.
The game does seem pretty cool anyway, and the webcomic is absolutely excellent, so I regret nothing. But geez, you guys! Stop promoting good things. My wallet can’t take it.
Saw Lego Ninjago movie today.
The end-credits song is “Dance of Doom” and gives detailed instructions that could easily be the “Dance of Death”.
