Technical difficulties

Hey guys,

Due to technical difficulties with the audio, the NWOD game can’t be posted today. I will work on editing one of the games from the archives and at the latest get it to you guys by saturday morning, eastern time. Although I am hoping for Friday night if time allows. Again, sorry for this guys.

So will the NWOD episode be posted later or is it beyond salvaging?

  2. Doug says:

‘Das cool. Good audio work takes time and your efforts are definitely appreciated. Keep rocking Fandible.

  3. Arvandus says:

Thanks for understanding guys. I’ll work on the audio, but as far as I can tell, the NWOD is unsalvageable. Although, we are talking about some things we can do with it in the future. Stay tuned.

such diligence! sorry to hear about the damaged episode. you should write a three-minute comedy sketch reenacting it if it gets a sequel. because that’s totally Billyverse-appropriate.

  5. Nate says:

Lost for good? Shattered! I second Crawlkill’s suggestion, though – even if there isn’t a sequel, comedy re-enactments FTW!

  6. Jake says:

A dramatic re-telling of NWOD where every Fandible member reads what someone else’s character did. How long before society breaks down!?

I’m sad if we’ll never get to see the penultimate episode of NWOD though. This was episode 4 of the planned 5-episode arc right? It would be darkly fitting if you just launch into Episode 5 and have all the players talk about what happened in Episode 4 obliquely, but we as the listeners are the ones who have suffered at the hands of the God Machine and have no memory of what has come before…

  7. Actually, Jake, you might be thinking of the GMC NWOD games. Those are all good, we have yet to record the more recent one. The one that was lost was a one-shot horror game. Still a grave loss, since it was a pretty good game (aren’t they all, Daniel, I hear you ask? Yes, yes they are). Unless I’m wrong, in which case I will be quite wroth and full of woe.

  8. Jake says:

I’m still blaming the God Machine for this. I believe that attitude will go well for me.

  9. Nate says:

Wait, in that case – it didn’t have the return of the “EXPERIENCE” creature, did it? TELL ME IT DIDN’T.

That whole thing, just the idea of something like that, and the voice *shudders*, that idea comes back into my head some nights, when I’m lying there unable to sleep, and then I’m destined to be unable to sleep for another few hours, at least… O.o

  10. Angela says:

Nate – try living with the guy that does that voice. I have literally woken up to Billy practicing that voice in the dead of night. None of you know what I suffer to ensure Fandible continues to get great characters and voices out of Billy.

  11. Barsha Da Barsha says:

Hah. The good news is that this didn’t deal with the Experience monster. I’m keeping my distance from that one for awhile. I want to use him when we really have something good (Wouldn’t it be weird if the Experience Monster was just a beta version of angels created by the God Machine? Just a thought)

This was just your average ‘oddness’ of the week. No crazy twists or Sixth Sense endings. Just a straight up ‘weird shit is going on, blow it up’.

  12. lastarchitect says:

    Billyverse = Awesome
Ink Monster (Experience Monster, Croatoa)= Awesome
    God Machine = Awesome

    A combination of all those factors would be . . . :O

Also, all the God-Machine awesome in this place has caused me to begin a campaign that has become the best of all my years of gaming, inspired by you guys, so thanks for that.

Any idea when we’ll be seeing nWoD again then? January? Later?

  13. Nate says:

@Angela – hahahaha! I’m so sorry for your loss (of SAN.) But it IS worth it, for the kudos of faceless internet-people (right?)

I never thought of the Ink Monster / Croatoa / Mnemophage (I like that one, myself) as a proto-angel, but that’s *good!* I could see it as a kind of biological machine, tasked (and possibly even subsequently forgotten about) with acquiring and cataloguing human experiences in a given area for the GM. Interesting!

  14. Barsha Da Barsha says:

Honestly, I’d probably avoid bringing the God Machine into the Billyverse. That’s just because I like having complete control over my games. I keep on telling myself I’ll make some of my stories into movies!

  15. Nate says:

Yeah, personally I love things with no (or at least no canon) explanations, as well, so I’m all for that.

I *am* totally busting for more Billyverse now, though. 🙁

  16. AKBearMace says:

Awwww the horror one-shots are my favorites. They ensure I stay up all night afterwards, so I’m super productive. The last half of my first grad school finals week is upon me, and I am confident in my ability to stay awake forever if Shattered Memories is playing in the background.
Unhallowed Metropolis or Time after Time are how I destress on the walk to the exam hall. True story, half my class will chant and fistpump along with ANDY! ANDY! ANDY! And most of them don’t even know why they’re doing it. It was just how a fellow fandible fan and I would greet each other on campus.

  17. Barsha Da Barsha says:

    … Billy! Billy! Billy!

We have -two- fans on one campus?! Pack it up guys, we’ve succeeded.
