I can’t get past the first room as up and left don’t appear to function.

  2. Barsher Da Barsher says:

… That’s… a new… bug. Let me check it out.

Tried it on my laptop. Up and left arrow work fine for me. Mind you, you can only play this on a PC. It can’t be played on Ipad/Tablet or Mac (Though, if you have a Window platform on a mac, it’ll work…). So, I have no idea why Up and left aren’t working for you. Like I said, the beta testers I sent this too never had that problem and I also just went and checked it out.

What version of Windows are you using?

  4. Thelastarchitect says:

    I’m using Windows 7.

Nothing I’ve tried has seemed to make a difference oddly and sadly enough =/

It’s about a 95% chance the issue is with your keyboard, as the program works fine for everyone else who’s tried it on all operating systems. 🙁

Check the troubleshooting here: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/5311-when-i-test-my-game-the-character-moves-right/#entry60157 and see if you have any luck?

Odd, my laptop hasn’t had a similar issue with anything else. The linked thread suggested pressing the insert key while using the program but that made no difference.

    Very strange. Very Very strange.

And I wanted to play Horatio’s drug laced escapades so much. :<

  7. Barsher Da Barsher says:

Sorry, friend! I wanted you to play it too. Sadly, until I get more people saying this issue is present, I don’t even know where to begin.

    Hey Archie,

Maybe this will help. You could try…

    1. Right click on the game’s exe file and select Properties.

    2. Then go to the Compatibility tab. Looks something like this (Note this screenshot is from a different game from a different dev so it won’t look exactly like this)

    3. Check the box to disable Advanced text Services or whatever your window says.

  9. Thelastarchitect says:

That WOULD work sadly they removed the ability to off that feature in windows 7 for no clear reason so I can’t use that fix.

Thanks for going to the trouble of trying to help though 🙂

Have you tried redownloading it? Delete the game, redownload it… and… yeah, that’s pretty much the equal to the ‘Have you turned it off and on again’ solution.

  11. Thelastarchitect says:

    Yeah tried that . . . first . . . 😛

  12. Ernie Carafa says:

Having tons of fun playing, just got stuck somewhere though =(

  13. Barsher Da Barsher says:

Hey Ernie. Where’d you get stuck? Is it stuck, stuck or just stuck and don’t know where to go?

  14. Ernie Carafa says:

No my player could not move, but a simple reload fixed it.

  15. Barsher Da Barsher says:

Odd! Well, programming is hard 😀 I hope you are enjoying it!

  16. Ernie Carafa says:

Yea, I just finish my capstone project for college that was a game. I feel for you haha.

  17. Barsher Da Barsher says:

Hope you find the easter egg in the game!
