Danger stalks the streets of Queens as the Purge continues. The four bachelors have improbably survived thus far, but dawn is still very far away.

Great game! The flashbacks where great idea. I love that these characters have become so well defined that while several of us thought the same thing about Jerry, no one really believed it.
Also what came to mind: “The thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge†– The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe
Yeeeeesssss. Your End of the World games are my favorites next to Billyverse and Numenera, (With Sadowrun waiting by the finish line to gank everyone and run off with the prize money) so I’m so glad to hear another one.
So I have no idea what mask I would wear during the Purge except for a mask of absolute fear and terror
However I am deeply dissapointed that Jerry was not wearing a Wil E. Coyote mask
I do enjoy that the real winner here was the power of friendship.
I’m pretty sure that’s what happened.
This seems to be the best timeline for end of the world to date. I’m so happy Jerry and Janine got together.
I think I have to call this the saddest End of the World. Yeah, this or that (or every) Bachelor has died before, but whatever survivors there were were still buddies. Jerry parting ways with the group… that’s the death of friendship.
The reason why I claim this as the best timeline is due how most of them move on and hopefully this will lead to them being happier. Yes the friendship ended but Jerry is with Janine and hopefully that works out. Carter gets over his ex. This allows them to realize what assholes they’ve been and gives them a chance to improve. Maybe Kevin will remain the same but at least he has the chance to realize what an asshole he’s been. As Billy says at the end “Its strange but the purge made us better people”. The friendship is over, it won’t be the same but that happens in life. My hope is in this timeline they get to be better people after experiencing the purge. They still have their lives and can continue living as they did which doesn’t happen at the end of the other End of the World sessions.
Been a long time lurker of the podcast, only really listening to the NWoD/CoD episodes as that’s my main system (Billyverse stuff now being my gold standard for mortal blue book games). However the purge month stuff has gotten me to branch out with your other games which have all been fantastic. I’m now working my way through the previous “The End of the World” games and loving every moment, gutted it’s taken this long to try out the other game systems 😛
Thanks to you lovely folks I ended up buying a copy of tEotW: Zombie Apocalypse for my next round as GM as well. Let’s see how well my players deal with spontaneous flesh geysers 😉
