With the world in danger, the investigators find themselves ill-equipped to face the challenges ahead. A fact not lost on the God-Machine. It will do whatever it takes to sharpen its chosen tools, even if it has to alter reality itself.

well done, Fandible, well done! Can’t wait to see more! Also, is here (in the comments) a good place to ask for tips in roleplaying?
We might start asking for questions for our next Geeky Round Topics coming up so keep on a look out there.
However, here is my roleplay tip (And I am sure other will join in with their tips).
Always roleplay with weakness. What too many people fall into when roleplaying is trying to make themselves perfect. And I understand the want to do that. Real life is difficult so when you roleplay someone different, you want to be ‘better’. You want to be strong and handsome and your penis is huge too! Smarts? Sure thing! Charming? Fuck yeah!
But this hurts the character. No one wants to meet perfection in reality. Perfection, honestly, isn’t normal. It’s weird. So, make a character with WEAKNESS! Hell, most of the time, that is where I begin.
Peter Parker is more interesting than Spiderman. Logan is more interesting than Wolverine. Why? Because they are flawed. Flaws make the character. Failure is awesome!
I remember when I was playing Atomic Robo and my character walked towards the monkeys, trying to get one of them to come towards him. Now, as a player, I knew this would result in the monkey attacking — I’ve seen a movie or two, for pete sakes. However, i did it because my character was trusting and loved animals.
Flaws are pretty emotionally driven, and they blind us. So all I’m saying is to let them blind you.
TLDR – Flaws are the best tools for roleplaying.
*pssst*
.. pay no attention to Billy. He’s just trying to get you to make your characters weak so he can gank them later with his uber-twinked out characters!
Also- oh god, he’s coming back. I was never here! You hear me? *Never here.*
*skitters off*
In related news: Paranoia is a great flaw. Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean Billy’s not out to get you.
Seems legit.
Great podcast, folks.
Roleplaying: A series of sub-optimal decisions that turn ordinary challenges into life-and-death situations for your party.
The gradual rewrite of reality to turn the group into the army brats was very well-handled, but now I need to hear the next episode so that I can see if their sanity slowly breaks down as memories of their past and current lives ever causes them to undergo massive upheaval! How dare you leave me wanting more next episode!

That makes total sense; during the post-game debriefing Fandi-Scussion in the Tabletop Blockbuster episode, it was pointed out (by Billy) that the Fandible gamers (especially Billy) could rake up MASSIVE piles of story points, due to them (i.e. Billy) being witty and urbane and articulate and empenised.
Ergo, because the Fandible people (= Billy) are such sterling examples of the human race, they’re not driven to play perfect characters, coz that would be humdrum and everyday for them. They (Billy) wanna play flawed characters, to get a taste of what it’s like to be a mortal.
Wow! It all makes so much sense now! 😀
😉
This episode convinced me to run a time travel-ey nWoD game when I needed to run a once off for my main group.
It was probably one of the best sessions I’ve ever run and our group’s main campaign is now a God Machine Chronicle campaign.
So thanks you guys, you are awesome inspiration as always! 😀
Also great episode, but that almost goes without saying at this point. 😛
