As a way to appease those who would question Boudicca’s loyalty, the marines head to a Shrine-world to undergo a test of purity. Sadly, even this planet of imperial worship is not free from the dark whispers of chaos.

Fun log as usual, though the Space Marines didn’t seem to have much trouble from the opposition this time around. That’s probably one of the greatest challenges of a Deathwatch campaign–finding enemies that can threaten the Marines without obliterating them outright.
Also, little question. No doubt you’ve heard that Fantasy Flight has released yet another Warhammer 40K RPG, Only War, about the Imperial Guard. Any interest in playing it or have you guys reached your limit on Warhammering?
Hey Fabian.
Thanks for listening and commenting. Fans keep the fuel running for us, and so we’ll keep a look out for the new Warhammer 40K book.
The thing is we have quite the hefty sum of backlog. So, while we’ll try to get the book and play it soon, it might take some time for it to get on the boards (Unless it is awesome. Rule of cool, right?)
Finally, I totally agree — Hardest challenge about Deathwatch is enemies. Sometimes, it just feels like my character just put in the invincible hack.
Hey Fabian,
I’ll be honest, with all the other warhammer games, I can kinda see where they all fit. Even black crusade had quirks that made it interesting even though it used the same system.
With Only War, I cant see how they much they can change which couldn’t be done with just the Dark heresy rulebook and a bit of imagination on the part of the players.
I will probably do a one shot as I did with Black Crusade, but I think I’m sticking with finishing my Rogue Trader and Space Marine games for now. I cant judge yet until I see it though, so I could be wrong.
Thanks for Listening.
