mmm, Demon. I’m just now reading the core for the first time. I feel okay about it. hadn’t gotten to Embeds and Exploits yet, and clearly, from this, my mind is gonna be blown when I do. thiiis is one of the reasons you don’t let the normals know anything.
isn’t it actually a Cover break every time you let a normal know anything about your nature at all, though? gettin the guy to sign is as good a shout about nature as anything.
Good point! Cover breaks can be a little tricky to judge properly, and in this first session I was still getting he hang of it. It’s definitely one of the things I’m keeping an eye on as we continue the game.
I won’t lie, I refreshed most of the day until I realized you upload at 4pm my time.
All in all a great listen. Seems you are doing the sample story with tweaks so far.
So… I broke my “save podcasts until I’m back in the office on Mondays” rule, and I regret nothing. This is, so far, everything I hoped it would be. The only problem is that I NEED to play Demon, now.
Also: I didn’t even get through you guys introducing your characters when I stopped and said “whoa, this got dark, *quick*” (trans: two thumbs up!)
Speaking of horror RPGs: If there are any fans of Night’s Black Agents around here, you might wanna visit One Shot Podcast later today – they’ve been bragging about getting Kenneth Hite himself to run a game for them, which should be uploaded in a few hours, and they’ve already posted an interview where Hite explains the rules for the new Dracula Dossier expansion, which is live on Kickstarter:

Hoorah! Demondemondemon!
Like how you guys are going with this one so far. Daniel, well done on keeping the pressure up on people’s Cover, its something that’s very easy to forget, but really is right at the heart of the game.
Out of curiosity, have you thought much about the gang’s Ciphers? Not sure whether you we’re using those, it just decided to gloss over them. I eeally enjoyed the depth the devs put into Demon, but unfortunately international travel has not been kind to my game time…
