Really liked this one, keep up the good work!
Dave, you’re hilarious. Angela, you should GM more. Guy with the fantastic voices, keep up the good work.
Can’t wait to listen to the next one.
I still have 20 minutes to go but so far it’s been hilarious. The group seems more unruly than usual. Is it the GM, the genre or both?
As a fan of Call of Cthulhu and pulp gaming I did some research on the era: the first talky was released in 1927 and by 1937 commercial silent films had become a rarity.
There’s no need to wade through history books to get a taste for HEX. Just watch classic adventure and horror films, Indiana Jones and read up on your Tintin.
Thanks for the encouragement Euphaleric – Billy just got me two new HEX source books for Christmas, so there will be plenty more HEX adventures in the new year, and I’ve got my eye on at least one new game to take a stab at. There’s plenty of GMing in my future, so long as the group will have me!
3rik – No idea what caused the uptick in unruliness, though I think the genre has something to do with it. It’s a pretty ridiculous concept after all!
Already looking forward to hearing what direction the source books will take the story. Imagine what extravagant turns the story could take once the Revelations of Mars supplement is finally available!
I really admire Zap Brannigan’s player’s voice talents, by the way. That’s David, right?
I’m really enjoying these. I found this episode really useful when I was prepping to run the River Of Death scenario. I couldn’t get a feel for what it would be like to run it so hearing you guys running the river on the raft was great.
