Just curious, after listening to this right after Congealed happiness, is the lake monster intended to be of the same breed of monster as the ink monster? Since towards the end the doctor who drugged them described how the townfolk “looked after it” so it “looked after them”?

Also any intention to play any of the more supernatural supplements to the game? Such as Vampire the Requiem or Changling the Lost or even Hunter the Vigil? 🙂

Well, for your first question, I think the similarities came from the fact that I was making it up on the fly. I started to delve back into the ‘Experience Monster’ trope but had to change it at the last minute. It didn’t come out perfectly…

The idea I think I wanted to go for (Or would if I could replay this) was that the monster was pretty much a sure thing for an After Life. Everyone who was at Camp Branch claimed that they’d been there for quite a time. So, in essence, as long as you were hooked up to the monster, you wouldn’t really ever have to see if there was a heaven or hell.

As for your second question, I’m curious about Changling and Hunter so those are a possibility. As for Vampire… Hah, I don’t know. I spent five years collecting all the books of Vampire the Masquerade. I know the history of it like the back of my hand. I’m too tired to relearn a new Vampire idea when Masquerade was a wonderful collection of ideas and story already.

Can I say this is perhaps one of my top five favorite actual play nWoD chronicles? This shit is bananas

I was talking with some other folks about doing a chronicle based on Too Many Cooks, where the players are trapped in a tv show run by a malevolent director, and I realized most of the ideas I had were drawn from this chronicle.

This shit is beautiful, Billy, you should be proud

Susan… I think she’s my favorite character from any game I’ve listened to… there’s a lot of depth there, enough that I feel like she has a back story worth knowing.

Ever since I’ve listened to this episode two days ago I’ve had the song stuck in my head. Fantastic job Billy. Death by soup is not something you hear often but I think that was one of the most amusing ways to kill off our protagonists.
